Car of the Year 2010

ŠKODA Yeti became the Car of the Year 2010 twice in the Czech Republic. First, it was elected by the Czech Motoring Journalist Club (KMN) and it won also the competition organised by Car Importers Association. The vehicle became Car of the Year in Greece and Sweden (where the competition is called Stora Bilpriset 2010) too. In Slovenia it finished second. It won the 4x4 category of Car of the Year 2010 in Bulgaria and SUV of the Year 2010 in Belgium.

Golden Steering Wheel 2010

ŠKODA Superb won the "Best Sedan of the Year 2010" category of the Golden Steering Wheel Award, organised by AutoBild in India. ŠKODA Laura became the Best Variant of the Year 2010.

Another awards in India in 2010

ŠKODA Laura won Midsize Car of the Year in the Over Drive CNBC TV18 Awards 2010. ŠKODA Superb succeeded as the Entry Premium Car of the Year in the Car India & Bike India Awards 2010, organised by NDTV Profit and it was elected Car of the Year 2010 by BS Motoring Executive.

Auto Trophy 2010

ŠKODA cars won the Auto Trophy, organised by Auto Zeitung in Germany this year three times over. The Yeti won in the category "Off-Road Vehicles up to 30,000 euro". The Roomster got the first place in the "Imported minivan" category. The Superb Combi closed out the excellent scores for ŠKODA as the overall winner in the highly competitive special category "Best Bargain Car".

What Car? awards 2010

ŠKODA has been named the Best Manufacturer of 2010 at the What Car? reader awards. Octavia placed first in the Small Family car group, while the Octavia also came second in the Estates category, the Roomster fourth amid the highly-competitive MPV class and the Yeti an equally impressive fifth best SUV. The Fabia supermini rounded off ŠKODA's outstanding performance with a top 10 rating in the Supermini class.

The brand was named Fleet News' Most Improved Fleet Manufacturer, Which? awarded it Best Car Manufacturer and it also won AutoExpress' Driver Power Award.

Family Car of the Year

Superb Estate was named Family Car of the Year by Channel 5’s hit show Fifth Gear in the UK.

Another awards for the Superb

The Superb has this year won two Auto Express gongs, for Best Family and Best Estate Car; Best Large Car and Best Estate Car from Diesel Car; The Caravan Club's class winner and Towcar of the Year; and Fleet News' Best Upper-Medium Car. The Superb Estate was also named Top Gear's Luxury Car of the Year 2009.

EcoTest

In the EcoTest, published within the framework of the current ADAC survey “AutoMarxX”, ŠKODA AUTO has again received top grades and took the sixth place in the total rating with a grade of 2.27. With only 46.49 percent depreciation after four years and a mileage of 60,000 kilometers (roughly 40,000 miles), ŠKODA ranks third in the statistics. Also among the strengths of the products made in the Czech Republic are vehicle technology and economics as well as the safety equipment.

ŠKODA Motorsport

ŠKODA Motorsport (factory team) won the IRC Manufacturers competition and ŠKODA's factory crew Juho Hänninen & Mikko Markkula dominated the Drivers competition, followed by their teammates Jan Kopecký & Petr Starý. ŠKODA celebrated victory at seven events in total, of which Juho Hänninen won three, Freddy Loix three and Jan Kopecký one. Furthermore, the Czech-based brand has won six national championship titles with Fabias Super 2000 this year: Matthias Kahle/Peter Göbel in Germany, Pavel Valoušek/Zdeněk Hrůza in the Czech Republic, Raimund Baumschlager/Thomas Zeltner in Austria, Rogher Feghali/Nabil Njeim in Lebanon, Alberto Hevia/Alberto Iglesias in Spain and Jozef Béreš/Róbert Müller in Slovakia.
