ŠKODA Fabia GreenLine

A new look, but primarily technical changes contributing to a reduction in consumption and emissions of pollutants are the most valuable things that the second generation Fabia GreenLine offers customers.

The most fundamental innovations are the new 1.2 TDI CR DPF/55kW engine, a Start-Stop system and a brake energy recuperation system. The Start-Stop and recuperation system are being used for the first time in a mass-produced ŠKODA.

Start-Stop system saves fuel
The Start-Stop system, which switches on automatically after the engine starts, will be most appreciated by drivers in the city. If the driver stops, for example at a crossroads or in a traffic jam, puts the car in neutral and takes his foot off the clutch, the engine switches itself off. As soon as the driver depresses the clutch, the engine starts again. In this way it is possible to save 0.2 to 0.4 l/100km in a combined regime and up to 0.3 to 0.9l of fuel per 100 km in urban traffic.

Other measures increasing economy of operation
A number of measures increasing the economy of operation include, in addition to other things, aerodynamic alterations to the body that, together with the aerodynamically covered and lowered chassis, lead to a lower air drag coefficient (cx), a brake energy recuperation system, cruise control and, last but not least, the use of tyres with low rolling resistance.

1.2 TDI CR 55 kW engine

The economical 1.2 TDI CR DPF/55kW engine offers consumption of 3.4l/100km and CO2 emissions of only 89g/km. The values of the other pollutants released are also lower and the new engine meets the EU5 emissions standard.

Brake energy recuperation

Brake energy recuperation is another modern technology element that helps save fuel thanks to the efficient use of the car’s movement energy to charge a battery.

Rear door spoiler

An aerodynamically shaped spoiler on the rear door is one of the alterations to the body that significantly contributes to the Fabia GreenLine’s excellent handling characteristics.

Low profile tyres

Fifteen-inch light alloy Antares wheels mean you can use tyres with low rolling resistance, which has a favourable influence on the reduction of fuel consumption.
