The new exclusive features...

A symbol of comfortable travelling in ŠKODA cars has become the unusual spaciousness, the use of valuable materials, the exemplary quality of workmanship and the use of modern equipment and electronics.

This is also the case for the ŠKODA Superb Combi which again brings something extra…
KESSY (Keyless Entry, Start and exit SYstem) is an easy-to-use system for unlocking, locking and starting a car without having to use a key.

All that is required is for the driver to have the key with him, whether in his pocket or briefcase, and to take the key to the car door, which makes the car unlock itself. This is done with the help of a contact sensor on the inside of the handle; by touching a sensor on the outside of the handle of a closed door you lock the car.

If you get in the car with the key and press the Start/Stop button, the ignition switches on. To start a car with a manual gearbox it is necessary to depress the clutch, whereas depressing the brake pedal starts a car with an automatic gearbox, then press the Stop/Start button. Pressing the button again switches the engine off.
Other comfort elements in the Superb Combi include an electrically controlled panoramic sunroof with a moving and hinged front part, tinted glass and an electric net roller.

The Columbus navigation system now offers a voice control function. The parking assistant with a new control unit and improved programme now enables work with steering the car when travelling backwards and forwards, and therefore parking a car in several steps in a smaller gap between cars that are parked sideways.

The luggage space in the Superb Combi offers, in addition to its above-standard volume, also several technical innovations that make it even more practical. As well as an electrically controlled rear door, dividing net and system of hooks and loops for fixing the net programme, this primarily includes the following elements:

Integrated Aluminium Strips

For the first time in a ŠKODA there is a luggage space floor with integrated aluminium strips and fastening elements. The lateral securing element with a fixed telescopic partition serves to divide the space. An element with a flexible strap perfectly secures the luggage against movement. After unlocking, both elements can be moved on rails along the whole length of the luggage space.

Extendable Floor Section

The floor section also enables, in addition to the creation of a level floor at the height of the loading edge and loading space under the floor, a new division of the luggage space into two parts. There is a new option of pulling the floor section out over the loading edge. Given the carrying capacity of 90kg, this markedly facilitates the loading of heavy and voluminous objects.

Automatic Roll Cover

The Superb Combi can be fitted with a roller cover with a switchable automatic release function. After the electrical rear door is opened, the blind goes from the back to the medium position, which ensures fast and easy access to luggage. By simply pressing a button, the roller cover can be moved to the rear headrests, and then it can be taken out and stored under the floor section.

Lighting

A pair of lamps in the rear door generously illuminates not only the luggage space, but also the space behind the car. A removable LED light serves as ordinary lighting for the luggage space. After removal, however, it can remain switched on outside the car for at least 24 hours. Thanks to a magnet, it is also possible to attach the light to a mudguard, for example to facilitate a wheel repair.
