ŠKODA Yeti GreenLine

The Yeti shows that even SUVs for both dynamic road driving and movement in light terrain can boast extraordinary low consumption and minimal emissions.

Despite the robust structure of the chassis typical for cars of this category, the GreenLine displays great handling, which many cars of classic design can envy.

The environmentally-friendly GreenLine gets its excellent handling parameters primarily from its modern 1.6 TDI CR DPF/77kW (105k) turbo diesel engine with a common-rail injection system and solid particle filter. With it, the car achieves a combined consumption of only 4.6 litres of diesel per 100 kilometres and with ease meets the demanding EU5 emissions standard (CO2 emissions of only 119g/km). In addition, the Yeti GreenLine offers its owner the pleasure of a very dynamic drive. It can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 12.1 seconds and can reach a maximum speed of 176 km an hour.

In addition to the engine, other fundamental measures contribute to the achievement of low consumption and emissions. Primarily, the Start-stop system, which, if needed, reduces consumption by automatically switching off the engine (for example when waiting at a traffic light), brake energy recuperation, an optimised transmission, tyres with reduced rolling resistance, aerodynamic alterations to the lower part of the car (the clearance was lowered by 25mm to 155mm) and also a lower air drag coefficient (cx), which, thanks to the aforementioned alterations, has fallen to a value of 0.361.

1.6 TDI CR DPF/77kW engine

A turbocharged four-cylinder diesel engine with direct high-pressure fuel injection and a solid particle filter significantly contributes to the car’s top-quality handling.

Brake energy recuperation

When the car slows down, the alternator “produces” more electrical energy than the appliances need, so the surplus is stored in a battery. When driving at a constant speed, the appliances are powered by the battery and the alternator runs with a lower burden.

16” Moon light alloy wheels

Sixteen-inch Moon light alloy wheels for tyres with lower rolling resistance with dimensions of 215/60/R16 are standard for the Ambition and Experience trim levels.

Alterations to lower part

Thanks to aerodynamic alterations to the lower part of the car, including a reduction in the clearance by 25mm, the air drag coefficient (cx) has improved and fuel consumption has fallen.
