BUILT TOUGH. BUILT POWERFUL

The new SKODA Laura’s strength lies in being sturdy enough to keep you safe at all times. Its active safety features inspire you with confidence earned around every blind turn and across every slippery surface. While its passive security features protect you in unavoidable circumstances.

Parktronic sensors probe the space around the front and rear of the car to determine the presence of obstacles. TPM (Tyre Pressure Monitoring) continuously monitors the air pressure in the individual tyres and prevents critical situations by providing timely warning of pressure loss in any of the tyres. The new SKODA Laura comes with Six Airbags including dual front airbags, the front seats with WOKS (Whiplash Optimised Head Restraints). The photo sensors which detect the intensity of light incident on the mirror surface and automatically reduce glare from the other vehicle’s headlights, ensureing safety. Light sensors check for ambient light conditions and switch on the vehicle's lamps in low light conditions such as in tunnels and in basement parking lots.

Concealed washer nozzles sprays high pressure jet of water onto the headlamps cleaning the headlamp lenses to maximize the intensity of light. ABS (Anti-lock Braking System)  prevents the vehicle from skidding and EBD (Electronic Brake Distribution) electronically regulates brake pressure for each individual wheel to ensure that the braking action is even and the vehicle can be brought to a stop safely. ASR (Anti-Slip Regulation) combines with ABS and EBD prevents the driven wheels from slipping by reducing the engine output. It improves vehicle stability by maintaining traction at all speeds, even over poor road conditions. The Brake Assistant (BA) detects a critical braking situation from the speed of the brake pedal application and ensures maximum pressure in the braking system.

Xenon Curve Projector Headlights

Xenon curve projector headlights with dynamic levelling

Xenon headlights offer higher output and efficiency. To assist visibility around turns the projector lamp modules swivel along with the car to illuminate turns as you take them. Headlight levelling also changes with acceleration, braking, inclination, descent and weight distribution of the car.

560 Litres luggage compartment space

With 560 Litres of storage space, the new SKODA Laura lets you store practically anything you wish to. Foldable hooks and six anchoring points keep your luggage secure, even during enthusiastic driving.

Thoughtful storage compartments

A clever compartment under the front passenger seat is perfect for storing mid-sized items, while the storage space provided under the rear centre armrest can be used to store valuables. Bottle holders in the front doors make it easy to store beverages and convenient storage of eyewear for front seat passengers is also provided with the overhead compartment.

Electronic Stability Programme

ESP (Electronic Stability Programme)

ESP is the most advanced system of controlling the car's driving dynamics. It detects an eventual skid much sooner and more accurately than the driver and intervenes with total precision, at a speed and manner unattainable by even the most experienced driver.
