Front Assist is a safety system that warns you of impending collisions. If a collision is nearly inevitable, the system brakes the car to limit the consequences. It performs emergency braking if a pedestrian or cyclist attempts to cross, and detects pedestrians, cyclists or vehicles travelling in the same direction, applying the same warning and braking response as it does for vehicles ahead.
When Front Assist brakes in a critical situation, Collision Avoidance Assist helps guide the steering to steer around obstacles safely.
