What is E20 Fuel?

E20 fuel is a blend of gasoline and ethanol, containing 20% ethanol. It is a more environmentally friendly alternative to regular gasoline.

Are Škoda cars E20 compatible?

Yes, components of Škoda gasoline (BSVI) cars sold after 01 April 2020 are compatible for E20 fuel.

My Škoda car has fuel flap sticker of E5 or E10. Is it still E20 compatible?

Yes, even if the fuel flap sticker states E5 or E10, components for all Škoda gasoline cars sold after 01 April 2020 is compatible with E20 Fuel.

Whether using E20 fuel in my older vehicle (prior to 01 April 2020) will cause any failure in my Vehicle?

Components of your Škoda cars sold prior to 01 April 2020 were not evaluated for E20 fuel. However, based on findings of tests conducted by the government agencies on older vehicles, we understand that use of E20 fuel should not have significant impact on older vehicles. We urge our customers to refill fuel from authorized fuel stations to avoid any adulterated fuel to prevent any damage during usage.

My car was delivered on 01 April 2022, would my warranty get void if I use E20 fuel in E10 certified petrol car?

For the cars sold after April 1st 2020, Usage of E20 fuel will not void warranty. Please note, Standard Skoda warranty guidelines apply.

My car was delivered prior to 01 April 2020, would my extended/part warranty get void if I use E20 fuel in E10 or E5 certified petrol car?

Please note, your car is designed to run on E10 or E5 petrol blend, its components are not evaluated for compatibility with E20 Fuel. Your extended or part warranty will not get void however, failures occurring due to the violation of manufacturer guidelines will not be supported under Škoda extended or part warranty.

Is Škoda considering any Repair Kit for converting old cars into E20 compatible cars?

No, this is not under consideration currently.
