The new ŠKODA SUPERB SPORTLINE: dynamic, sporty, urbane
Mumbai, 16 October 2018: ŠKODA AUTO India unveiled the SUPERB SPORTLINE at an attractive introductory ex-showroom price of INR 28.99 lacs, nationwide, taking forward the ‘One Nation. One Price.’ philosophy. The SUPERB SPORTLINE will be available in two engine - 1.8 TSI (AT) and 2.0 TDI (AT) and three colour - Moon White, Velvet Red and Steel Grey options across all authorized ŠKODA dealership facilities in the country.
While the SPORTLINE’s angular contours and sharp dynamic lines are inspired by the iconic SUPERB design, it’s the pulse-racing sports styling that sets it apart from its peers. The distinctive exterior and interior styling perfectly blend style, sports, space and luxury. And being the flagship ŠKODA, it comes with numerous Simply Clever solutions and connectivity that add a practical twist to elegance.
SOPHISTICATION GETS A SPORTY MAKEOVER
The ŠKODA SUPERB SPORTLINE inherits the signature contoured body of the SUPERB and arms it with dynamic details. It dons glossy black details such as exterior side-view mirrors, front grill, side window frames, side door inserts and spoiler that underlines the sporty character of the car. The car comes equipped with 17" dual tone Drakon alloy wheels, rear diffuser with chrome highlights, and the distinctive SPORTLINE badge on both front fenders.
Step inside the ŠKODA SUPERB SPORTLINE and experience how racy and refined can go hand-in-hand. The Carbon décor with LED ambient lighting adds to the active theme that continues inside the SUPERB SPORTLINE. The three-spoke SuperSport multifunction steering wheel with paddle-shift, black perforated leather and silver stitching puts everything you need on your drive at your fingertips. The Satin black Alcantara® Sports Seats with integrated headrests and diamond stitching further enhance the interior’s boldness. The electrically-adjustable driver and front passenger seats with three programmable memory functions come as standard. The chrome front and rear door sill strips with 'SUPERB' inscription and the chrome pedals add to the unique look of the car.
ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION OPTIONS
The SUPERB SPORTLINE’s bold styling and class-leading space may grab the headlines but the car’s inner workings tell an equally compelling tale. DSG automatically adapts to your driving style, whilst taking road conditions into account. It reduces the strain on the engine and stress to the driver, by deciding when to change gear, leaving you free to concentrate on the adventure ahead.
The SPORTLINE will come with the 2.0 TDI (AT) diesel engine and the 1.8 TSI (AT) petrol engine from the ŠKODA SUPERB model range. The 1.8 TSI engine produces 180PS (132kW) of power and a torque output of 250 Nm while delivering fuel efficiency of 14.81 kmpl. The 2.0 TDI (A) engine is at the core of the ŠKODA SUPERB SPORTLINE’s diesel variant. With 16 valves Dual Over-Head Camshaft (DOHC), it delivers 177 PS (130kW) of power and a peak torque output of 350Nm while delivering fuel efficiency figures of 18.66 kmpl.

The ŠKODA SUPERB SPORTLINE hosts a plethora of the most technically advanced and intelligent connectivity features. The state-of-the-art 8-inch floating touchscreen display with proximity sensor is a part of the new generation Amundsen infotainment system developed by ŠKODA. It is equipped with SmartLink™ technology (ŠKODA Connectivity bundles supporting MirrorLink®, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto) which mirrors the smartphone for seamless connectivity and undistracted drive; besides supporting SD Card Reader, USB, and Bluetooth options.
